It appears that some erroneous (co-mingled) information may have been published, and perhaps republished/reported, making the “actual facts” obscure . These dates need further research/clarification before taken as "fact".

• Styled As: Justice Caleb O'Dell (Sr) and Caleb O'Dell (Jr)

Both Caleb and son Caleb appear to have been "Justices" and some information has been co-mingled between profiles.

Primary reference was FHC Digital Copy of "Descendants of John O'Dell" born in 1435 in Warkworth, Northampton, England and died in 1496 and includes many families that settled in New York, Connecticut and elsewhere^[1]

• Additionally, it appears brothers of Caleb (Sr) may have the "same named children"; specifically William (b. about 1752 -1753 m. Martha Morrell ^[2]
• One of these children appears to be Caleb m. 1788 Jane McDaniel ^[3]

10 Nov 1784 Caleb purchased 80 acres of land for 50 schillings in Washington Co., Tennessee . The land boarderd Daniel Odell and Samuel Denton's property ; appears to have been sold to Elijah O'dell.

06 Aug 1788 Washington, Tennessee, married (Margaret) "Peggy" Boring

1795 Caleb Odell sold William Boring 76-3/4 acres on Brush Creek, for 55£. The land bordered Charles Reno/Reneau. The deed was witnessed by Thomas Gourley and John Tipton. (Cocke County was a part of Brush Creek in Washington, Greene Co., Tennessee (Cocke Formed in 1797).
